 School Services

Tiny Wonders Speech and Language Therapy, LLC would be happy to make connections with local school districts to provide services to children in need.  Currently, we are accepting new contracts and partnerships with school systems in Polk County, Florida. Our school services include: pediatric speech and language therapy and evaluations, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services, supervision, and consultation.

IEP Speech & Language Therapy

Tiny Wonders Speech and Language Therapy, LLC delivers comprehensive speech and language therapy services including:

  • Delivering and documenting therapy minutes as required by the IEP
  • Progress reporting

  • Writing IEP goals and attending annual IEP meetings

Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) Services

AAC is a form of Assistive Technology and means all the ways that a student may communicate besides verbally talking. Tiny Wonders Speech and Language Therapy, LLC may provide the following AAC services:

  • Conducting AAC Evaluations and Trials
  • Delivering and documenting AAC therapy minutes as required by the IEP

  • Writing AAC IEP goals and recommending appropriate AT supplementary services

  • Educating and training all educational team members in the implementation and use of AAC systems within the classroom setting

  • Supporting and training SLPs in completing AAC evaluations

IEP Evaluations

Speech and language evaluations may be conducted as a standalone evaluation or as part of a multidisciplinary team evaluation. ​

 

Tiny Wonders Speech and Language Therapy, LLC delivers comprehensive evaluations including:

  • Reviewing records and conducting case histories
  • Interviewing teachers, parents, and other related service providers

  • Administering formal and informal assessment tools

  • Participating in Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments

  • Conducting Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessments and trials

  • Interpreting results and writing evaluation reports

  • Determining eligibility under the category of SI or LI and making recommendations for services

  • Presenting results at IEP meetings

Consulting & Supervision

Consulting and supervision services are provided to assist districts in handling compensatory services, supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and Clinical Fellows, and other unique needs. Consultative and supervision services may include the following:

  • Supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
  • Supervision of Clincial Fellows (CFs)

  • Support for classroom teachers working with students who present with communication needs

  • Appropriateness of a service delivery model (e.g., group vs individual therapy, in-class support, parent coaching model) for a particular student

  • Training and support in implementing Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments

  • Education and support for students using Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
